Our multi-temperature distribution fleet allows us to deliver a wide variety of ambient, chilled and frozen products from the same vehicles. We serve an ever-expanding customer base within the food industry which ranges from traditional organisations through to new companies catering for the latest convenience markets.
Purpose of Job
To deliver goods to customers premises as per the preset schedule, to pick and check all goods from the freezer, chiller or ambient compartments of the vehicle, together with any other additional duties, which may be required in the efficiency of the business.
Main Duties
- Carry out deliveries in the order determined by the Transport Office.
- Check and agree the correct quantities are delivered for each order with the customer, any discrepancies to be amended by both parties at the time and ensure a signature is gained.

- All empty pallets are to taken off the vehicle and placed in designated area within the warehouse, all plastic and cardboard is to be placed in the recycling bins with in the warehouse.
- The driver must refuel, and check the vehicle, park and lock the vehicle within the designated area in the yard and place the keys in the transport office on return to warehouse.
- Should an accident occur then the driver must remain with the vehicle, assist with any investigatory process at the scene of the accident if authorities are in attendance.
- Report the accident immediately to the Transport Manager/Coordinator and provide a full report.
- Utilise all vehicle safety features and equipment.
- Ensure manual handling techniques are adhered to at all times.
- Ensure load is compartmentalised in accordance with the temperature control requirement of the product.
- Maintain good customer relations with customers and good interaction with all Warehouse personnel and Management.
- Vehicle Maintenance Checks.
- At the start/end of each journey check oil, water and fuel, replenishing as appropriate.
- Complete the daily vehicle walk around check report.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean at all times.
Job Requirements
- Driving Licence.
- Multi drop experience.
- Confidence, self-motivation, and enthusiasm.
- Good knowledge of road networks.
- Excellent customer relations skills.
- Be a good team player.
- Excellent knowledge of driver’s hours regulations.
