Warehouse Supervisor (Evenings)
Hours - 42.5 Hours per week and a 30 minute unpaid break (Sunday to Thursday 4:00pm Start - Job and Finished)
Salary From - £31,000

Purpose of Job
To ensure daily workloads are carried out accurately effectively, efficiently and safely and that customers’ requirements are met.
Responsible for the hygiene of the warehouse this includes control of all warehouse/transport picking and checking activity including Goods In, Picking of goods, freezer and chiller hygiene. Also, to ensure that their specific jobs roles are fulfilled each day correctly with no mistakes.
To ensure that all vehicles are loaded correctly, on time and in full.
Job Description
- While carrying out your duties be aware, always, that there is a legal requirement to take reasonable care of the health and safety of yourself and others and to comply with the safety working practices and procedures laid down by the company.
- To provide support to other Supervisors in relation to investigation, disciplinary and grievance meetings’
- Ensure weekly staff meeting are held.
- To ensure adherence to BRC standards always.
- To ensure the building is locked and left safe & secure when leaving on the last shift.
- To ensure all staff achieve required attendance levels. (Absence and timekeeping)
- To ensure safe working practices and the daily maintenance of mechanical handling equipment, as laid down in procedures and works instructions, are observed.
- To ensure all MHE is signed for by each user and faults recorded on the pre-check sheets provided and faults reported direct to sub-contractor for repair.
- To ensure MHE is kept in good state of repair and cleaned daily.
- All the correct documentation is correctly completed.
- To ensure all vehicles are loaded in an efficient and timely manner.
- To adhere to any hygiene tasks which may be assigned to you and your shift?
- To ensure all staff wear their personal protective clothing/equipment correctly at all times.
- To carry out temporary cover arrangements as required.
- To ensure that the cleanliness, tidiness and all that is associated with “Good Housekeeping” in the warehouse and/or any other area of the site is maintained to the highest possible standard.
- To regularly patrol the warehouse to ensure close supervision of pickers
- In the case of out of stock, offer a substitute to customer.
- To report all picking errors to the warehouse manager.
- To ensure colleagues are managed fairly and consistently in line with company policy.
Health & Safety
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Take reasonable care of your own health and safety, as well as that of others who may be affected by your actions or omissions.
- Promptly report any hazards, unsafe practices, incidents, or near misses to your line manager or the Health & Safety team.
- Cooperate with management on all matters relating to health and safety, including attending mandatory training and following issued guidance or instructions.
- Use equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) properly and as instructed to minimise risk.
- Participate in risk assessments and contribute to the identification and control of workplace hazards.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement in workplace safety by actively engaging in health and safety initiatives and suggestions.
