Production Supervisor
Hours - 42.5 Hours per week and a 30 minute unpaid break

Purpose of Job
To ensure efficient and effective management and control of manufacturing processes, ensuring targets are met in accordance with the companies’ policies and procedures.
To ensure daily workloads are carried out accurately, effectively, efficiently and safely and that customers’ requirements are met and each shift supervisor to pass over to each other in a correct timely manner.
Responsible for the hygiene of the production area. Also, to ensure that their specific jobs roles are fulfilled each day correctly with no mistakes.
Job Description
- Responsible for ensuring that the quality of the product and service within your area is maintained at the highest possible standards for the customer.
- Support and promote BRCGS, HACCP GMP and RSPO activities on site, ensuring that controls and procedures are strictly adhered to.
- Manage the food safety aspects and compliance following company’s food hygiene practices.
- Ensure production schedule is followed.
- Work with operators to ensure work instruction and processes are followed as documented.
- Work actively in production area and support operators.
- Advise or recommend any improvement to work methods which could improve productivity.
- Be responsible for ensuring that the quality of the product and service within your area is maintained at the highest possible standards for the customer.
- Ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality are always met.
- Accountable for the manufacture of quality product which meets the customer specification.
- Ensure day-to-day running and efficiency of the factory.
- Report maintenance issues with equipment and processing lines and oversee preventative maintenance operations to ensure product safety.
- Sign off department records.
Health & Safety
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Take reasonable care of your own health and safety, as well as that of others who may be affected by your actions or omissions.
- Promptly report any hazards, unsafe practices, incidents, or near misses to your line manager or the Health & Safety team.
- Cooperate with management on all matters relating to health and safety, including attending mandatory training and following issued guidance or instructions.
- Use equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) properly and as instructed to minimise risk.
- Participate in risk assessments and contribute to the identification and control of workplace hazards.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement in workplace safety by actively engaging in health and safety initiatives and suggestions.

Job Requirements

- Knowledge of BRCGS and Food Safety and Integrity
- Understanding of manufacturing systems and procedures
